Grays Harbor ORV Park (GHORV) is an 155-acre off-road motorcycle, ATV and UTV riding facility in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, inside Washington’s Olympic mountain range. Situated off Highway 8, and surrounded by the 99,000-acre Capitol State Forest, GHORV offers a park-like atmosphere where riding enthusiast and their families can escape the work-week grind to experience the thrill of riding or driving their power sports equipment in a safe and legal environment. Grays Harbor ORV offers four directional closed-course tracks to ride.
“We wanted to build a place where folks can come and ride their motorcycles as a family,” says ten-time 450 and 250 Supercross and Motocross champ, Ryan Villopoto. “I grew up riding on this very land and to now have a stake in the new management of the park is a little surreal to me.” In addition to his ambassador duties, Villopoto takes immense pride in Grays Harbor, overseeing many aspects of the facility… even manning earth-moving equipment when trackside. “Motocross is a family sport. It’s the way I was brought up and made me the man I’m today. So I wanted to provide a safe riding environment that brings families together so they can have fun, ride, and camp as a family,” adds the multi-time Champ.
Front and center is the 1.3-mile main track. Built to accommodate a varying degree of ages, bike sizes, and skill levels, the 30-foot wide track features a fun layout with a variety of corners, ruts and berms. All the obstacles that make a motocross track are present including table tops and double jumps. The track is continuously maintained using in-house equipment.
Adjacent to the track, is a 80 acre directional UTV and ATV track that meandering through the forested hillside. For the little guys and girls, we offer a 3/4-mile Kids Track. It features a variety of obstacles and near perfect dirt — it’s well suited for little one to hone their skill set. The property also includes an extension of the kids track for winter and/or damp track riding called “Bark Lommel.” Bark Lommel is known for its all 1-mile long, natural-soil from Capitol State Forest.
